Parker loves their Denver Broncos!

Well it was surely an exciting season.  Our local NFL team, the Denver Broncos, had an incredible up and down season that was filled with excitement and much hope for the future.

The team practices at Dove Valley, just a few short minutes from Parker and their awesome stadium is over off of I-25.

After an 8 and 8 regular season, the Broncos took the AFC Western division and beat the odds in an exciting overtime WildCard playoff game against the mighty Pittsburgh Steelers.

They ultimately lost in New England to the Patriots, but it was a great season that no one expected and much of the nation was swept up in the Bronco frenzy.  Some of the newest stars to the team are Eric Decker, Willis McGahee, Von Miller, Demaryius Thomas and Tim Tebow.  They join the team’s stars like Champ Bailey and Elvis Dumervil.  Tebow’s late game heroics and controversial style captivated much talk around the country.

A fantastic job by Coach John Fox, General Manager John Elway and all the coaching staff this year…

Parker is proud to call the Broncos their team and we will be looking forward to another exciting season next year!

Parker: Colorado restaurants expected to enjoy bigger helping of increased sales than national average

While 2011 restaurant-industry sales nationally are expected to increase 3.6 percent over 2010, Colorado will fare better with a 3.9 percent projected increase, according to the National Restaurant Association’s 2011 Restaurant Industry Forecast, released Tuesday.

Parker Chronicle – Local Newspaper & YourHub

One of the cool things about living in Parker is the weekly delivery of the Parker Chronicle. This is basically your community type of newspaper, you can find out a lot about what’s going on in the news, and they even have some opinions in there.

There used to be a printed one called “YourHub” Parker edition, though I haven’t seen it around in a while – Back when I first lived here in 2006 my baby girls actually were on the cover of that one.   We were out for the Holiday tree lighting at O’Brien Park and snapped their pic.  It was a great night…  I posted that pic up.. :)
